July Bloomers

The long days of July are extremely exciting for those of us who garden.   More daylight means more time spent in the garden doing what we like and even enjoying the fruits of our labors.  Here are some of my favorites that bloomed throughout the month of July.

Daylilies putting on a show:

Campanulastrum americana-a wonderful native that laughs at the hard and dry soil under my White Pines:

A fragrant Garden Phlox I grew from seed that another garden had shared with me:

An all time favorite for performance and bloom length is Echinacea purpurea (seed grown).  I like to tuck them in throughout my gardens.  Some are even noticeably fragrant:

Geranium "Midnight Reiter" only it's second year.  I love the foliage on this one.

One of 3 roses I have remaining-I love Hybrid Tea Roses but find them to be too difficult to maintain with organic means so I shovel pruned the rest.  This one is "Fragrant Cloud" and it definitely fulfills it's namesake:

Thanks for dropping by and letting me share some of my flowers with you!  If you have any questions feel free to comment:-))

Until next time-Happy Planting!
