August Bloomers

As the Summer winds down there is still a lot of blooming going on in my garden.  The Rudbeckias start and the Lobelias are in full force.  Here are some pics of the garden as the heat gets turned up a bit:-))
Here is Rudbeckia triloba-she will bloom from August until the first frost.

Eupatorium perfoliatum also called Boneset it is a smaller relative of the well known Joe Pye Weed.

My pick for top pollinator attractor-Agastache foeniculum.  It attracts butterflies, bees and Hummingbirds like crazy.

Another Rudbeckia-this one is called Rudbeckia submentosa.  It is taller than regular Black eyed Susans:

Mimulus ringens also known as Monkey Flower.   This one is just a baby.

Ligualria dentata-always a star in the garden.  With these leaves she doesn't even need flowers.

Lobelia cardinalis-what a beauty this one is.  This is definitely one plant worth waiting for every year!  (these pics were taken at the end of July)

There were so many flowers blooming I wish I could have shared them all with you!  Some of the ones I left out are:  Veronicastrum virginicum, Cimifuga racemosa, Ligularia japonica, Ratibida pinnata, Coreopsis, and a few others.  I do hope you enjoy the flowers I did share with you.  As always if you have any questions about cultural requirements or where to get these beauties feel free to leave a comment or email me.
